Johns Creek High School will have two teams fall 2010 -- one "varsity" level and one "jv" level. The season will run approximately from September thru the end of October. A meeting for interested players will be held in Coach Nicholson's room during the first week of school (date TBD). Tryouts are expected to be held the second week of school (dates/times TBD). Dave Butler will once again run the fall program and be solely responsible for the tryouts.
To help us with preliminary organization, if you are interested in trying out for the fall team, please email Jim Poole at jimpoole@buckheadinvestments.com. This is not a commitment, just an indication of interest.
***NOTE: Participation on the fall baseball teams in NO way guarantees a position on the spring teams. It is not unusual for a player to make a fall team and NOT make the spring team, or for a player to be cut or not participate in the fall but still make a team in the spring. The fall teams are an opportunity for players to continue their development while playing on the high school field and being with their classmates.

Martin Hits Grand Slam
Johnny Martin cleared the bases with a very timely grand slam homer last night in Marietta against The Walker School. It was the spark that got the team within striking distance in a come back effort that continued through the rest of the game.
It was a hard fought game by both sides that lasted nearly 3 1/2 hours and both teams can be proud of their efforts.
